Toshiba satellite...freezing, overheating and shutting down issues

Common issue on m
Laptops lint accumulates on heat sink which blocks airways for computer to breath and cool down, but instead it suffocate and shuts fornication to protect itself from further damage.
Like oil change in cars, anybody is capable of doing but they rather pay someone like me to do the dirty work, which I have no problem doing while getting paid.

HP G72...dead.

Customer claims water damaged. Pluged it in, and it lit up. But when power button is pressed nothing happens. You can tell which water came by looking at photo.
Turns out, keyboard is bad, had another laying around and its all good now.

Acer travelmate 4050...power issue

This laptop wasn't working because the battery was dead, but when plugging in the charger into the jack, light start flickering as you move it. But it wouldn't charge the laptop.

Smell like powerjack issue to me, so I cracked it open. Looked at the power jack and found a broken leg....replaced and voila!!!

Ps: I could've resolder the joints and make it work but it'll break again eventually, and I like happy customers..

Dv6000...dead no power

Came in dead, even tho the powerjAck lit(BLUE), the battery light never came on.

Of course I had to go deeper and took it apart,at first, a shorted mosfet fooled me, telling me it was closed both ways. I replaced but still same issue, no power. Then I flip the board to inspect the other side and found a burned cap..replaced it and it started right up...good feeling.

Next up..acer aspire 5517..dead, water damaged.

This is gonna be a long shot but why not? Rite. Customer claims water damage, who knows mayhem I can bring it back 2 life.
Battery light on.
Turns on!!! but guess what!? Beeps like hell, continuously. And video goes off.
Actually its beeps loud until you press the power button then it GOES
Into Windows, but once it loads up, lcd starts flickering, and Windows POP up as if you were clicking them.

This is is going bizzerk!! Hopefully is all cause of the water damage

Crazy me..halfway through taking apart I realized I haven't check memory....well, replaced it and it Works!! No beeps, no flickering.

Moral of story: don't go by what customers say. This turned out to be a memory issue. Not water damage as claimed by customer.

Update: even tho the beeping noise was fixed by swapping memory, IT'S still acting up, clicking stuff on its own and whatnot.

**update: customer came back with unit acting up, replaced keyboard and its running smooth now, keyboard seemed damaged by liquid.

Sony vgn-fw...no video.

Customer brought it in with no video, it turned on, green light came on but the fan didn't run at all.
Cracked the case, took it apart piece by piece, and found that the cable connect from the mb to the usb/phone jack was shorting out.
It's all cool and breezy now...
Sorry for lack of photos, I forget.
